A particularly large one across his chest that he doesn't really like talking about. He shows no mercy when challenged and wont stop until he comes out on top or die trying. Speed. He knows how to use the wind in his favor and can move swiftly and strike at high speeds. Skill. He's been trained how to fight and what he lacks in brute force, he makes up in battle tactics. WEAKNESSES Lack of Endurance. He can tire out rather quickly if he relies on his speed too much or pushes himself too far. Impulsive. He tends to act first and ask questions later. This proves quite troublesome when he goes up against someone much stronger than himself. Stubborn. It will definitely be the death of him. He refuses to give up, no matter the consequences. FEARS Being hurt by someone he trusts... Again. Being trapped. SECRETS He's not as bad as he tries to seem. His 'uncle' is a scientist. ------------------------------------------------- PERSONALITY Believe it or not, Ryo used to be a nice kid. No seriously! Of course it's hard to believe that now. To most, he comes of as the rude, sarcastic, and ultimately the bad boy. Relationships are nonexistent and friends are for the weak. He hates socializing and tends to try to avoid people at all costs. But during those times company is inevitable, he can be pretty mean and often times considered a bully for how he treats people. He's even been called evil. But he's not. Quite frankly he could be considered a coward. But that is something people barely have the chance to notice. He's afraid. He hates being alone but the idea of trusting people and only getting hurt by them in the end holds him back from trying to socialize. His fear is what forces him to push people away. Deep down behind that rough shell of his, he's a big softy. He considers it a weakness and refuses to show it. Those who manage to get close to him can discover a much nicer side to him. A side who is loyal, protective, and unable to turn a blind eye to someone who needs help. Now if only someone would be stubborn enough to break through that tough shell of his. ------------------------------------------------- HISTORY On a cold winter's day, a woman died, bringing life into the world with her final breath. Perhaps that was a horrible choice on her part. The father was struck with grief but was determined to continue on and take care of their son for her. As much as he possibly could anyway. Being a scientist made raising a child rather difficult. But he always managed to be there for his son. Ryo was a pretty quiet child, unable to fit in with the other children due to his Albinism. As expected, he was considered a freak. But that didn't stop him from trying to get along with people. Especially one particular girl who ignored his condition and treated him like everyone else. She made him feel like he fit in. They became best friends really easily and took care of each other, promising they'd always be there for each other. But life has a nice way of changing things. It was around the age of ten that Ryo noticed his father seemed to be getting rather weak. Constantly tired and eyes seeming to lack life as he tried hard to find the ultimate cure. Despite his son's concern and pleas to take it easy, he worked on, wearing himself out till he fulfilled his promise; he'd find the cure or die trying. There was nothing they could do to save him. His body was too tired to keep fighting to stay alive. And unfortunately, a part of Ryo seemed to die with his father. Throughout the grief of his father's death his best friend, Mimi, continued to be by his side, trying to comfort him and assure him that everything would be alright. Though she was only trying to help, he only saw her words of comfort as her mocking him and ended up yelling at her, calling her bad things and making the confused girl hurt. He watched her run away. The only person who he had left. And he didn't bother to try and stop her. Thinking his fate would rest at an orphanage, the boy felt hopeless but was ultimately surprised when a fellow scientist, referring himself as a friend of his father, told him he'd be taking care of him from now on. Without much choice, he trusted him and accepted his new life with his 'uncle'. However, the man's intentions were not to raise him. Instead he'd be his own personal test subject. After being injected with the serum, like the other children, he had developed something much different than the expected results. He became a mythical creature. A Hippogriffin. And he was stuck with the bad news that there was no cure. Tired of being used by his uncle and being stuck in that damned laboratory, he escaped and started his life on his own. Over the years, he began to adapt to his new situation, learning how to live with what he was forced to deal with and how to survive without being rediscovered. At least he thought so anyway. It was with one of his girlfriends that he had grown to really love and trust. He thought she was the one and actually considered being with her for the rest of his life. But as soon as he revealed how much he loved and trusted her, things seemed to go downhill rather quickly. He began to feel wary of her but ignored his instincts and tried to get closer to her. It was while he was in the most oblivious moment that he finally realized her true intentions as she attacked him, slashing a knife across his chest in her attempt to kill him. He barely managed to escape the ordeal, fighting her off before fleeing the scene and going into hiding. It has been three years since that ordeal and the experience was traumatic for him. He's become mistrustful and now believes the only way he's going to survive this world is if he toughens up and learns how to fight any enemies that stand in his way. ------------------------------------------------ THE PERSON BEHIND THIS WONDERFUL CHARACTER IS GENERALLY CALLED SPARDY AND SITS AT NINETEEN.
